LA students complain about library books

date Friday, October 13, 1972

location LA campus

Students on the LA campus complained that too many books had been taken from the library to support the opening of Payson Library in Malibu. About a quarter of LA's 100,000 volumes were transferred to Malibu, which then acquired a major donation of hundreds of thousands of volumes. The decision of which books to move was made by faculty members.1
