Contest for new business school logo
date Friday, July 14, 1972
location LA campus
Pepperdine's School of Business (soon to change its name to the School of Business and Management) held a contest to design its new logo. The deadline for submissions was July 14.1
The school was founded in 1968, when the Board of Trustees approved a plan to separate it from the business department, which was already offering an MBA. The decision to have a free-standing business school was motivated by accreditation requirements.2
