Following a May 4 letter to the editor of The Graphic complaining that Pepperdine was the only southern California university without a job placement program, the director of Pepperdine's job placement program responded in a May 11 piece. Dr. W.H. Clinkenbeard (a real name, not a nome de plume) wrote that the school's placement program had existed for 20 years and had a 100% rate of placing interested students into teaching jobs.1
